EU Passport Montessori Nanny with 10+ years experience, available now! CDBN

I am an experienced nanny with more than a decade of childcare jobs under my belt. I love working with
children – it’s dynamic, fun and rewarding, and it doesn’t feel like a job. I started out as a live-in Au-Pair
and have since worked as a Nanny, Language Buddy and Tutor for a number of private households (both
formal and informal) from different nationalities and backgrounds both in the UK and abroad. I am
upbeat, flexible and adapt well to family dynamics, changing schedules and varying duties – every child
is unique, every family is unique. I have mostly worked in sole-charge roles but am just as happy working
alongside parents and other nannies or members of staff. I value excellent communication and respect
for everyone’s views and values. No two days are the same, and I aim to navigate through them with
common sense, a good sense of humour and a huge dose of fun. I am tidy and organized and always
happy to muck in wherever I’m needed.

As a nanny, I endeavour to collaborate with parents, respect their views and adapt to their wishes
and desired parenting style. I am always happy to bring ideas, suggestions and experience to the table
where appropriate and I am equally comfortable working with a preexisting routine and structure, adding
to it and adapting as we go along. In addition, I value a healthy lifestyle, a nutritious diet and plenty of
time outdoors. Having both an academic as well as a creative background, I am suitably equipped to
support language development and assist with homework and school projects. I am a language
lover and a huge fan of the arts, so I am always happy to switch on my artistic and creative side where
appropriate.

Having spent most of my school holidays in the UK throughout my childhood and having studied English
at a degree level, I am fluently bilingual in English-Flemish. With an endless passion for education and child
development, I am educationally-focused and able to organize and tailor activities around the child’s
interests and developmental stages. I believe in a good balance of child-led learning and the gentle
instilling of boundaries.

I am naturally very patient and caring, gentle and nurturing, and I enjoy navigating the delicate balance of

being firm where needed and leading by example while allowing kids to be kids at the same time. With
training in addition to years of experience, I have an excellent working knowledge of both traditional and alternative, child-led educational approaches such as Montessori. My focus is on honouring the child’s individual needs
from moment to moment and empathizing with him or her at all times. In addition, I value good manners,
kindness and respect. Most of all, the child’s safety and well-being will always be my top priorities, and my
aim is to become both a trusted friend and a mentor.
